Ingredients
  

  • 350 g chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1-2 chilli peppers sliced or diced
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of chilli flakes
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 egg white for crispy version
  • 70 g cornflour for crispy version
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil for cooking

Method
 

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Combine chicken, soy sauce, garlic, and white pepper. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix honey, chilli peppers, chilli flakes, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Chicken:
  4. For a healthier version: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
  5. For a crispy version: Coat marinated chicken in cornflour and egg white. Fry in oil over medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Combine: Toss cooked chicken in the honey chilli sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
